Reading other reviews on this particularly book has been an experience in itself. It has brought home the differences in readers and how they perceive things. I loved this book. There was a hint of Twilight for sure but what the author does with the characters takes it somewhere else. There is cruelty in this, almost a brutal way of looking at things that is eerily realistic and I was hooked and self-proclaimed as an addict by the third page. I cannot believe someone so young wrote this although a times there is visual written evidence in character development that is hard to ignore. The point is that it simply doesn't matter. Violet and Kaspar are uniquely their own personalities despite similarities to other books. Let's face it, is anything really that original? I enjoyed the cleverness of the plot and the worlds the author has created. I enjoyed her turn of phrase, her descriptions, I enjoyed this book. Welcome to our world Abigail Gibbs and please continue on your path as I can't wait to see where it leads.
