When I bought this series I was unaware that it was about S&M. I read it because I paid for it and it was really interesting. BDSM has levels that I didn't know about which is not altogether surprising seeing as how I've never tried to learn. While I won't be buying ropes and/or paddles anytime soon, it was an interesting world to visit. *spoilers*There are some things that are universal in erotica. A lot of sex with people or in places that make no sense. That is kind of how this book started. She was interested in two guys and you know she has to sleep with both of them to decide whom she wants to be with. But no. She pretty much stuck with Henry. Until Micheal started feeling like an option but it was short lived and the twist here was pretty good.A romance with a twist is a new one on me.At the end of each book, you want to know more and by the end of the series, you get a satisfying romance. Except that I still felt like Henry was a jerk who used Stacy until he decided she'd done more than enough to prove herself. Umm No. I felt like she proved herself long before he was ready to put a collar on her and that seems rude.I left the book actually thinking and feeling and I'm more than a little conflicted on this. I never read 50 Shades of Grey and I'm fine with that. I'm good with my S&M quota for my life and I liked the way Bridget Taylor eased into it and showed that there is actually a culture of the lifestyle. I wish that the books were maybe longer so that the relationship between her and Henry could have developed more. I would have liked to not only hear about Stacy's conflicting emotions but have more of a thought process behind it with a conclusion to her back and forth.
